So, now I am totally confused.
I think I just got a visit from AF, but I know that sometimes women suffer implantation bleeding, and I am not sure what this is. I am going to watch it for a day or two and then figure it out. I am also going to call the dr., on Monday and make an appt. I am getting a little upset and since I am 39, getting a little scared this will never happen. I told my dh that I am buying an opk this month. Can anyone recommend a good one? Thanks and baby dust to everyone else.

Re: So, now I am totally confused.
I hope it's implantation bleeding! Are you due for AF? Does it look like AF color-wise? Is it a tiny spot or more? If it's AF, I'm sure you'll know by sure in a couple of days. GL! Stay Away AF, Cha Cha!
Try not to think too much about your age. I know it's easier said than done, and that it does play a role in determining your level of fertility, but I know of many ppl who have given birth in their 40s. If you are really concerned, and you're not already doing so, perhaps you should consider IUI?
Best of luck to you and TONS of baby dust!

I know its easier said than done, but please try not to let your age worry you so much
Let's hope AF won't be coming around!

Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler is a great book. So many people on here recommend it. I have read it myself as well.

Re: So, now I am totally confused.
Age does have a lot to do with fertility but more importantly your FSH level(follicule stimulation hormone) . Unfortunately women in their early twenties can have a very low fsh level and women in their 40's can have an excellent ones. Fsh level, determines your 'egg reserve". On day 3 of your cycle, bloodwork would indicate fsh level. If it is high, acupuncture can help. I am not sure how long you have been trying but, if it's over 6 months, you can see an RE. If you are over 35 and trying for 6 months, it's recommended you see a reproductive endocrinologist. I find going to one is so very helpful. At least they can give you an idea on what's going on in that body of yours :) A complete physical by an doctor is also something you can do if you don't want to go to a RE just yet. It's important to know your insulin levels, glucose, prolactin, tsh, t3, t4 levels when ttc. Definitely chart your temps and use opks.....and don't focus on age. I hate when I start doing that :(
