Wearing out your welcome...

We had a mini housewarming party yesterday and some of DH's friends and family came by. They were around from 1-9pm!!!! I'm sorry, but it was wayyyyyyyy too long. At the end they were all just sitting there watching TV and I wanted to yell, "Get out!".

Does it bother anyone else when people stay too long? I feel like some people are missing the "time to go" gene...like they really don't know when to leave!

I am so anal retentative about that...I'm always conscious of how long I've been somewhere, while DH is that person that has to be the first there and last out....I HATE IT!

If it weren't for DH, I would def be one of those people that wear out their welcomeChat Icon especially when I have a few in me. DH on the other hand, loves being at home. He always starts walking to the door first.

you must be a great hostess with a super company friendly home?Chat Icon

I'm conscious about it too, but I really never WANT to be ANYPLACE for longer than a few hours.

I'm curious to hear from people on the other side of the fence...those that stay long and don't consider it to be rude.

I have to say my friends are pretty good about not wearing out their welcome. When they come over they usually come around 7 or 8 and leave around 1130-12. I really cannot complain.
