Bringing baby home
What kind of outfit should I take her home in? I was thinking a long legged, long sleeve onsie with a hat. Is this good? I will be leaving the hospital next week.
Also, do I need to pack any other clothes from her other than the coming home outfit?
TIA!!!

That sounds good. You're having her this Friday, right? I would wrap her in a blanket as well. It might be a bit chilly. you really don't need a diaper bag really because you have tons of stuff at the hospital (diapers, formula, wipes, ointment) that you can bring home with you. I don't think an extra outfit is necessary.

The clothing I picked out for Jared was too big, so my DH came back with other clothing that fit Jared~pants, shirt, hat and socks. We also had a blanket to cover him up...even though it was June.

She will need a blanket for sure. I had a Molly in late Novemember so I had the bundle me on the car seat. I had her in a onesie and long sleeve one piece outfit with a hat. Make sure her feet are covered up too. it is still chilly at night.

Re: Bringing baby home
I did a onesies & an outfit over the onesie with a blanket (June & September babies).
My pediatrician said to dress the outfit in at least one layer more than you would dress since they have a lot less fat on their bodies & are new to maintaining body temperature.
As for the other outfits, I would suggest always having 2-3 extra on hand - for the rest of your pre-potty training days.

Re: Bringing baby home
I was so excited to be going home after a week in the hospital that I didn't even bother putting him in his adorable going home outfit, I just put a snowsuit over his sleepsuit and got out of that pop stand pronto!
