After Ovulation question...
It states in TCOYF and online, you should experience a "dry " period, to indicate you O'd...I dont get this...At least not in the last 2-3 months. I noticed yesterday, my CM was actually more then pre O...Anyone have this as well?
I know its a sign of PG, BUT I have had it before and not been PG, so I dont think thats the case this time....
Think its a bad thing? Or no?
TIA!

Re: After Ovulation question...
I always have some sort of cm
CM comes from the production of estrogen in your body. Right after you ovulate, the estrogen level decreases, but still exists. The lowest estrogen level is usually around 7 dpo and it starts to increase a lot around 10 dpo. (It's like a wave).
When LH and Estrogen get together (both increase), pre ovulation....that's usually when you get the 'fertile ewcm". The body produces cm throughout the cycle because sometimes it's used as a barrier, to prevent sperm from getting in and other times, it allows it.
I am not sure if you had a P4 test done 7 dpo, Donna, but I definitely would ask RSofNY to run one. It's good to know your progesterone level. Sometimes a person has estrogen dominance, and that can cause extra CM. I hope I am making sense.

whats weird is my lack of EWCM is our #1 reason for IUI, yet from 1-about 7 dpo I get a LOT of creamy, clear CM, and never dry out, makes my software go nuts, I always have to override peak days.... I have had it done at 7 days, but may ask for another one, as I know it can change...THANKS
