she asked the questions
My 7 year old daughter asked the question of where babys come from......and how does the baby get into your belly I did not know what to tell her so I quickly changed the topic......any advice...

I'll never forget when my mom gave me a book about where babies come from. I think it was part of the Time Life series if I remember correctly. It was a very colorful, cartoonish type book and it showed, chickens, cats, dogs, and even "mommy and daddy" in bed (under covers of course ) making babies. Anyway after the making babies pictures came pictures of the "babies" kittens, puppies, newborns, etc...but the one that I can never forget was the chicken. They showed an egg, an egg cracked open with a little baby chickie popping out and then 2 sunny side eggs in a frying pan. I never ate an egg after that. The poor chickie was all I could think about.
Lesson - prescreen the book!!
