Re: Weight watchers question
You might want to cross post this on the Diet and Fitness board- I know a lot of people there are on Weight Watchers and I bet they can answer you quicker.

Re: Weight watchers question
The flex plan utilizes the "points" system. It allows you to eat what you want (based on points) - where the core plan sets out a strict guideline for you by suggesting what to eat.
I'm using the flex plan, and am very happy with it.

Re: Weight watchers question
On the point plan, you are allowed to eat a certain number of pts. per day based on your weight. No foods are restricted. With the core plan, there are no pts. to count but you are limited to certain food groups.
Definitely check out the diet & fitness board. You'll find a ton of info there.

Re: Weight watchers question
I do Flex. I need to learn portion sizes. I have a problem with eating JUST TO EAT and not because Im hungry. I think with Flex you have a lot of freedom you can eat anything you want just watching how much you eat.
I started in January with my 2 friends.
My one Friend is down 54 pounds My other friend just made GOAL at 50.8 Pounds
I have been very lax this summer and not counting But im still down 35 pounds and I started again hard core on Sunday!

Re: Weight watchers question
Flex is good if you have a problem with portion control but still like "regular" foods like real butter low fat instead of no fat, etc. Core gives a list of foods you can eat unlimited amounts but it is mostly fruits veg. lean meats and fat free items. For me I 'd rather portion control and stuill be able to eat regular items-it also worked for me because we go out to eat a lot

Re: Weight watchers question
The points are based on the food & the portion. The core plan is based on the type of food & frequency. I used the core plan b/c I went vegetarian & organic while on the program & found the points did not fit into my new lifestyle. The Core is somewhat based on the Food Pyramid.

Re: Weight watchers question
Been doing Flex for a few months this time, and have also done it in the past.
On flex you can pretty much eat anything you want, just count the points for the portion.
On the core program....you are very limited as to what you can eat, but the foods that are on the program you can eat until you are full - if you know when you are full.
I can't do core.....don't know when I'm full.
