I would HATE that
Levitt houses don't have basements (at least the majority don't) so unless the owners moved it to a garage or an addition. The original Levitt houses (capes) had them in the bathroom.

My parents have the washer in the kitchen and the dryer in the garage. (Levitt cape) You have no idea how grateful I am to have a separate laundry room in my house!

Well maybe it is just because i have my washer/dryer in my bathroom now...
that it just seems some-what ok...
although i don't love it by any means..
but a KITCHEN...
that is odd to me...

well if it is any consolation my neighors have their washer dryer in a closet opposite the pantry and inbetween their kitchen and formal dining room. Ours are thankfully in a utility room upstairs.
