photo upset
We just got back from a weeks vacation and all my pictures are terrible. Since we were using the digital video so much I bought a memory card for it and decided to use it for pics too. Well it must have been set on the worst quality because all the pictures came out grainy. I guess I still have pics but they are just not as pretty as they should be. I should have realized something was up when the memory card never got full. Hmmm hindsight is always 20/20.
here is an example Image Attachment(s):

Re: photo upset
I see what you say about the "grainyness" but the pic still looks great. It actually looks like is has some sort of photoshop effect/filter on.

Re: photo upset
It could also be that the quality of stills on the video camera is just not as good as you expected. Usually the megapixels on those are much lower than a standard digital camera.
Hope you had a good vacation and at least you got video!

Re: photo upset
I would go to Picasa (here I go again ladies!) and download it for free. Go to Google, type in Picasa and it will lead you through the downloading process. I had tons of WEDDING pics that were horrible. There is an option that sharpens your pics, plus many other options as well. That's the only thing I can suggest.

Re: photo upset
See if you can set it for a higher resolution & play around with it. I'm sure for your next trip if you can get away with carrying only one with you, it would be worth it.
