cleaning area rug
What can I clean an area rug that is safe for my little crawler? There is something on the rug that is giving him a rash (probably because we never took our shoes off) so I have to put sheets all over the room and need to clean it ASAP. I dont want to have to get a new rug but will if I have to. I called the pediatrician and they said to steam clean it but its just one area rug - I guess I could rent one of those cleaners to try that....but what else is safe for me to use on it?

Re: cleaning area rug
Do you use carpet fresh? If so you should stop. You can also try cleaning it with baking soda and water or oxyclean.
