Dumb *** move of the day!!
I put a pot of sauce on this morning and added some meatballs. I run to the gym and tell hubby to stir the sauce every 15 minutes. I come back an hour later and the sauce is still not simmering and is ice cold to the touch, so I freak out that our stove finally went. Well, I turned the wrong burner on  . Whoops!

I've done it myself too so don't feel bad. Although I've always caught it soon after. However, DH usually forgets to turn the burners and oven off until I realize hours later

It is easier to spot when you have a gas stove. I did it a lot with electric stoves, but now that we have gas, you see which burner is igniting!
