What does bed rest entail
Are you totally off your feet like actually lying down all day, or is it more like taking things easy, like no working out or strenous activities?

It means, off of your feet. Except of course a shower or using the bathroom.

I was on bedrest for a while and I was told that I had to be off of my feet and relaxed. THen I was put on mild bedrest and that was I could go out but I was not allowed to lift or do anything stressful or strenuous.

bed rest is exactly that...stay in bed except to use the bathroom and shower (quickly I might add).
