Question...
I have jury duty ALL day tomorrow and maybe all week... do you think I'd be allowed to bring my laptop with me? I have an aircard, and I'll be able to go online with it. That would be a perfect way to pass the hours.

It should tell you on the piece of paper they sent you. I am pretty sure you are not allowed to bring laptops.

FYI - I ended up bringing my laptop with me to Jury Duty, just in case, and I was ALLOWED to bring it in! I HIGHLY suggest this if you're ever stuck with Jury Duty! I brought dvds with me, headphones, and the extra charger, and watched movies all day. lol!!!

GOOD luck... I was almost chosen for that case with the little girl who was decapitated and her head landed on her mother's lap. It was an accident on the Meadowbrook where a drunk idiot drove on the wrong side of the road and crashed into this limo on the way to a wedding. I was SO upset over it. PLUS the superficial fact that I'd have to be sequestered for at least 5 weeks. That wouldn't fly as a teacher. Maybe when I retire, but NEVER would I be able to handle a case like that. Lucklily, I removed myself from the pool, was thrown back in, and then quickly dismissed. Phew!
