How do I find a good babysitter?
we live in Garden City and Charlie is 7 months old. we would like a night out once in awhile but not ready to leave him with a high school girl. besides family or friends, any recommendations?

I would put an ad in the Garden City news or see if any of the nanny's in the area do weekend babysitting.

I got a babysitting job when the mother posted an add in the education department of my college, so you may want to try that. Good luck!

You could check paves (in GC) what about seeing if any students in the ed dept at adelphi babysit - This is what my neighbor used to do for her kids when I couldn't watch them

I opted for hiring my kids' teachers when family is unavailable. If there is a local daycare & you know moms that go there - ask them for some names. They've already had background checks run on them too.
