I don't think she could or should say anything. If she's really not doing her job (and it's not a job where heavy lifting is involved)...why hasn't her boss noticed this?
Actually I just reread your post and saw you wrote that she acts busy when the boss is around.
So, I'm not sure what to say...but, your friend should just do what she's supposed to and I'm sure somehow the problem will get solved.

Thanks for answering. I guess I should add my best friend is PG to and I think that is also a factor.
The job does not require any lifting or anything like that.

I had a similar situation last year... a former co-worker of mine got preggo in April '05 and worked from home at LEAST 2x a week. not only that, but she came in at 10am everyday, barely did a thing but surf baby websites and chat with other preggo women at the job. she literally did an hour's worth of work a day!
OMG! it was INFURIATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks I will tell my friend! Originally I said let her have it! lol Sometimes you need a good smack in the head to think straight. And this girl only works part time as it is - I think 2 or 3 days at most.
