3 good things today!
1. Our granite countertop is installed 
2. Our bathroom ceiling is gone and the new cathedral ceiling is framed out
3. I just heard tires screaching and saw that my neighbor was pulling out our big stumps in the front yard with his truck 2/4 are gone so far. I am sooo glad to see them go

OK, here's the kitchen picture. You can see we are not finished yet, we still have to do the tile backsplash, put the stove back (we had to take it out for the countertop to go in), and we have to put brackets to support the overhang on the island (right now those 2x4s are supporting it).

It looks great Julie!
I thought that you couldn't get rid of the corner column or wall because it was a support column. Were you able to do it or is it just not in the picture?

Julie, your pix are always an inspiration to me. Is your DH in the construction business? I've never seen such an amazing turnaround in a house -- so quickly -- ever before. If he's not in the business, he should be! He's doing this all himself, right? And that's awesome about the stumps -- everything is coming along beautifully! Congrats!

Your home is goregous! So, when are you going to start the nursery now that the rest of house is done? I'm sure you heard that before.
