The caffeine talk has really got me thinking?
Am I drinking too much caffeine? I drink 2 16oz or 20oz (not sure) of sweet tea a day or 1 32oz of it, but the cup is filled to the top with ice. Now I'm worrying myself? I didn't do this the whole PG probably just the last 2 months or so. What's the worst that can happen if you drink too much caffeine? I can always find something to worry about! Thanks ladies!

Don't stress it..... You really can have everything in moderation. I had a cup of coffee (not decaf) everyday while I was PG. You'll go crazy over worrying about every little thing you eat and honestly I think it's overrated. Just make sure that you drink a lot of H2O as that is really important during the PG.

usually tea has a lot less caffeine than coffee - so you should be OK

I don't think you should worry, but if you're really concerned maybe you should ask your doctor.

I just sprung for a cup of coffee this morning. I can't keep my eyes open. I missed my coffee!

I used to drink a cup of coffee every day. I started in my 2nd trimester...at first it was half regular/half decaf but towards the end it was jut regular coffee...I never drank soda so that was the only caffeine I was getting..Dr said it was fine....

I drank sweet tea off and on....sometimes a HUGE 32 oz from Hardee's and then I'd go off it.
Towards the end of my PG when I was having anxiety/panic attacks, when I did not drink caffeine, they would happen less often.
I believe the Dr's say the "safe" amount is equivalent to 1 cup of coffee per day

The worst thing that could happen, from all the reading I've done, is that the baby will be a jumping bean and could possibly have caffeine withdrawl the first day of life outside the womb. But quite honesetly, I doubt you could consume enough caffeine for that to happen. Relax, I drank more caffeine than you are when I was prego and Ava is just fine.

Everything in moderation. My doctor tells me that two cups of caffine a day is perfectly fine. I would talk it over with yours if it would ease your mind.
