Where to get a credit score?
Is this something we need to do with a mortage company, or an outside resource?
Any recommendations? Thanks

you can do both. to get it on your own you have to go to www.myfico.com
Do not use the one provided by a credit company like Transunion, experian..they are THEIR own rating of your credit, and not your true Fico.
And dont let the "free credit score" ads get you, you will ALWAYS have to pay for your Fico score unless you do it through a broker...and you usually pay a broker a set fee which includes getting your score in the fee.
