irregular periods post baby
I have always been a 28 day girl unless I was pregnant but since having Jack 11 weeks I am late with having my second cycle. I have taken numerous home pregnancy tests even though when I resumed activites we were using various methods (condoms, minipill, breastfeeding). It has been 24 days since I last saw my husband so I'm thinking that if by chance I O'd late then I could be now and I should take another test. I mentioned being late to my Family Practice doc and he didn't seem concerned and just told me if was probably stress and to just start my new BC when it starts up again since technically I'm in no rush. I am up right now because my back is killing me I'm thinking its because I went shopping and we took my friends Mazada 6 (btw.. hugse PITA with having an infant seat in and out of ... so I"m hoping I just hurt it) but naturally I'm thinking the worse and thinking etopic or something... would an etopic show up on a home pregnancy test? Also how were your cycles post baby?
TIA..
BTW.. I feel great so I doubt I'm pregnant but at the same time I feel absoluetly no sign of AF and when she came back around 5 weeks PP I totally felt her coming..

Re: irregular periods post baby
I got my period off and on while I was nursing. Are you still nursing? I got my first period about 7 weeks after her birth but then didn't get it again for months.

Re: irregular periods post baby
my sister said that happened to her after she gave birth to her first child...she thought shes was pregnant too. It was 3 months late.
I think I'm going thru the same thing now since getting off the pill, its all those hormones that are out of control now...so AF doesnt want to come.

Re: irregular periods post baby
My period was crazy after I gave birth-I eventually stopped taking the pill because I was so confused-some months i'd get my period every 2 weeks other times it would be almost 2 months. Now we're just playing it "safe"-lol!

Re: irregular periods post baby
Thanks ladies you put my mind at ease. I took a tylenol this morning and it seems to be helping with the pain so I really think I must have just pulled something getting the infant seat in and out of her Mazada. I'm planning on starting my Yasmin on sunday no matter what because I want to make sure I'm on it for a while prior to Dh's return. I am also no longer breastfeeding which is why I'm going to take Yasmin. I was on the mini pill for about a month and I hated it so I stopped which might be part of the reason for my cycle being wierd. So I'll buy one more test and take it sunday before I start my pills up again. I think I've spent like 40 bucks on pregnancy tests in the past two weeks already!
