TTC and diet...
I hope this doesn't sound silly but is it ok to go on a diet while trying to conceive. Obviously the diet would stop once you get PG...

Re: TTC and diet...
I am dieting at the moment because my cholesterol is high and I do need to drop a few pounds. I am not actively trying yet but I will continue to diet till I get my BFP. The way I see it, I'm not dieting so much as I am cutting way back on unhealthy food. And that's what anyone should do when TTC, overweight or not.

I think it would depend on what type of diet you are doing. I doubt that Akins is very healthy but if you are watching what you eat and having lots of fruits and veggies - that can't be bad. A healthy woman only needs about 300 more calories a day during pregnancy.

If you really follow either one of the the Weight Watchers program, you'll be fine. It's actually an excellent program for learning how to eat healthier.

Re: TTC and diet...
My GYN told me I could stay on WW after I got PR, as long as I increased my milk/dairy intake by 1-2 servings per day.
