Anyone use Service Magic website to find contractor?

I'm in the process of trying to find a good, reputable, reliable company to install central air in my house without paying a fortune. I have a great recommendation from a friend already (thanks Lori!), but DH won't be satisified until I get 3 estimates. I was looking online and found this site, but I was wondering how much of a hassle it might be? Will I have a million people calling me all the time? Will they stop calling if I select one?
Just curious if anyone has any info, it seems like a good start.

You can try. I've used them for not only a contractor but for a landscape architect and for masonry and although they were informative (alot of them have websites where you can see their portfolios), I ended up going with a referral from a friend. Good luck!

i did and it helped, got lots of people's names and a lot came to give me estimates. all i can say is their operator haunted me for months afterwards calling to see if i needed anyone else
