shower question for girls who already had it
so i think my shower is this weekend (sun) and while around 25 things have been bought off the registry, i still have a bunch of stuff (more of the smaller stuff as the bigger items flew first), are people normally last minute with buying off the registry? i am wondering if maybe they will go on sat to purchase stuff, i know that around 38 people are coming so i cant figure it out unless people got stuff on their own(e.g. clothes)

So of course now like 6 more things flew off the registry since i posted this- my question is i have no big stuff left anymore which is great, but now that the most expensive thing left is like $59.99 should i add some more bigger stuff to it, or just let people give gift cards/buy a bunch of the less expensive items that add up to whatever amount they want. I literally cant think of anything to add as we got our stroller, bases, carseats, toy box, swing, pack and play, bottle sterilizer, etc and i dont want to just add stuff for the sake of it.

Alot of people wait for the couple days before to buy things.
I know for my shower they did and i also got things from my registry from other stores where they prob found the same thing less expensive.

Thanks for posting this!!! My shower is Saturday and Ive been thinking the same... I have 33 items purchased off of my registry..... so, Im anticipating a lot of last minute shoppers as well.....
But, I do have to say all, except for two, of the big priced items came off of mine....
ETA: I just checked my PBK and 8 things came off this morning... so I guess the last minute rush is on!

some people will get you clothes, blankets and gift cards that are probably not on the list... I would expect that some items might still be purchased but not a lot...

We had a bunch of stuff bought & then that week (of shower) it slowed down...I was looking on my registry until that morning & we even had people buy that day!!!! People do tend to wait until last minute, don't stress!

Can I ask why? Doesn't that sometimes leave you with no options if you wait that long?
I don't know...I'm all for not procrastinating and just buying the gift as soon as I get an invitation.
But, in answer to the OP's question: yes, MOST people wait until the last possible second to buy you a gift....I had two people buy me the same gift off my registry the morning of my shower and the duplicate happened b/c they literally must have bought it at around the same time that morning!

I would leave as is.....Since you dont need anything else big..let people give giftcards if they want to and then you can get ALL the little things ya know?
