My parents have used Dr. Fredericks in Northport. I honestly dont know his prices, but, he's all I can think of right now.

not sure of their pricing, but my family has used Dr DeVerna's practice on STony Brook Road for YEARS. Very happy with them

I use Brian from Jefferson Animal Hospital in Port Jeff Station. He is great. I haven't compared prices with other vets but I really like and trust him. He is Kathy116 husband. She is on here sometimes & on LIW.

Thanks! My Dh is a fantastic vet. (that's how I met him, he was my veterinarian). He gives a 10% multi pet discount (if you own 3 or more pets).
Do you have pet insurance?
Just be careful in shopping around for a "cheap" vet., my DH will go over all options of care with you, doesn't mean you have to do everything he recommends...he several clients on tight budgets, and he understands that they do what they can afford. You should keep up with vaccines and heartworm prevention.
Let me know if you'd like his info, feel free to FM me.

Since I'm a huge animal lover, it's perfect being married to a vet., we've got all sorts of animals: 2 pugs, 1 African Grey Parrot, 1 Iguana, 10 finches (and there are babies on the way....sitting on eggs), 1 canary, and one cat!

I don;t think any vets are cheap, I went to about 3 or 4 different ones untill I found the vet I liked...All office visits cost between $$45-55

I don't use Kathy's DH...although I probably should now...But we have been going to Hawkin's Animal Hospital and they aren't too bad, the vet's are really nice. I also went to the 24 hour Animal Hospital one night cuz Misty's spay cut was oozing and they were amazing...and didn't charge us at all!
