question about sleeping in the crib
We have been using the sponge-like sleep positioner since birth - DD is now 6 months. Ive recently found her at the end of the crib sleeping on her belly.
Is this a good sign to get rid of the sleep positioner?
I love it for her because it keeps her head somewhat elevated - what do you use when u aren't using the positioner - do u put a small pillow underneath DD head?
TIA

Re: question about sleeping in the crib
At six months, I think it's safe to have nothing in the crib. Once they are rolling over and can lift their head, you don't need anything.

Re: question about sleeping in the crib
If you want her elevated a bit (because of reflux or asthma/allergies or something else) you can either get a crib wedge, or if you want it a bit less that than, put the pillow under the mattress. My sister had to elevate my nieces mattress because of asthma and this is what she did. I would not put a pillow inside the mattress for her to sleep on.

You shouldn't use a pillow in the crib until the baby is at least a year old, its not safe.

Re: question about sleeping in the crib
DD is 4 mos and we just got rid of it, She's scootching around too much to have that in the crib anymore. She is fine without it too. If you want to ease her in to it maybe start by not using it at nap time only and then in a few days get rid of it completely. My DD didnt even notice it was gone bc she was so entertained by her mobile.
