Advice Please-m/c's-Repost
It's been over a week since my m/c and I should be receiving my blood work results tomorrow(last friday my HCG level was 56). I m/c'd at 5weeks, 5 days naturally.
For those who have had m/c in the past(I am soo sorry), how did you get through the 2 month wait?
I want to start trying, maybe it's the overachiever in me, but I feel like a failure. Those 2 months are going to seem like an eternity. Trying again is all that I can seem to think about and the thought of using protection just irks me, but then again I don't want to have another m/c cause I didn't give my body a chance.
Mentally, I need to do something, but I don't know..Help

I haven't miscarried but I do understand what you mean when you say you feel like a failure. We are going in to month 4 for trying and I can't help getting really upset and depressed as well as blaming myself. I try to do things that I wouldn't be able to do while pregnant, like this weekend we are going away with friends and I will be able to enjoy a couple of bottles of wine.

Aren't they adorable? Let me tell you how Cleo has helped me through this! She has been right next to me all week. Cleo is soo spoiled, she gets carried around everywhere and gets hugs all day :)

Re: Advice Please-m/c's-Repost
Michele, I travelled. Since I had the D&C on April 28, we went to Boston, New Orleans, California....and tomorrow we leave for Alaska.
I love to travel and saw it kind of like our "last chance" to go places we had been wanting to get to.
It was hard waiting - especially it took 2& 1/2 months for AF to show up But we tried to see it as a time to celebrate our two-ness.
I tried this month, and am dying to test....
Hang in there, with the help of the ladies on here you will get tons of support!!

Kara-THank you for the insight, I really appreciate the support I have received over the last week from everyone.
I am trying to get DH on board with me doing something, or have a new outlook, but right now his way of coping is just to tell me not to think about it. He's no help right now.

I was put on a 6 month waiting period before I can begin TTC again. It is so hard with wanting to have a baby so bad. Just keep reminding yourself that it is better to let your body heal properly (it will also give your mind time to heal). Good luck with the blood test results

Yeah men ****...they have no idea what we are going through. My DH is so dang practical, it really irked me for a while. But fighting with him doesn't solve anything so I just let it go. DH probably can't even express what he feels.
Go away for a romantic weekend, or take a day trip somewhere "adult".... maybe this will help!!

Re: Advice Please-m/c's-Repost
Technically, and statistically, you do NOT have to wait the 2 months to TTC. Doctors just recommend it for completely body, mental & emotional healing.
Ask Beth (bxgell)! She got pg shortly (like 2 weeks) after she m/c.
As for feeling like a failure... I know exactly what you mean! I felt that, along with guilt, and wanted to blame the world for what happened. Just know that you are NOT alone, and you are NOT at fault. We're here for you to help you along, in recuperating... but you will never forget.

Sweetness
I am still recovering from my d and c on 7/11. I *think* I am ovulating now, b/c I am feeling some sharp pains on my left side where my ovary is. I just finally stopped bleeding from the procedure yesterday. I completly understand how you feel. My doctor told me to wait after my next period. So hopefully we can begin again imid to late August.
Basically I am trying to concentrate on our new house (closing in 2 weeks!) and spending some quality time with DH. It seems like forever and I never thought Iwould say this, but I can't wait for my period!! Hang in there!!
