Appliance Removal
Does anyone know who i should contact to remove an old refridgerator I have down in my basement that is going to be a pain to move???? I am not purchasing a new one so I would need someone to come in, move it out and take it away. I have no idea who to call to do just this. Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: Appliance Removal
You don't know anyone that can help you remove it? You may have to pay someone.. perhaps a handyman out of the pennysaver? but I'm sure he'll want a bit of money to remove it.

Re: Appliance Removal
DH, my brother and a friend (yes it took all three) just removed a fridge from the 1950's in our basement (previous owner left it there).
The easiest thing to do is get two or three guys to help. Ask someone if they have a hand-truck too to help get it up the stairs.
Don't forget to take the doors off before putting it out on the curb.
