LIPA bill Q?
so we've been in the house for about 3 months now, and it just hit me today that I have not gotten a bill from LIPA yet!
.. so I called them just now, it appeared that whoever was trying to set up my account in the system (from 3 mths ago) did not finish the application!
so I asked them what the balance is, they told me approx. $280.. is this a lot or normal for 3 months of electricity??

the lady told me $280 is an approximate... I'll know the actual charge when I receive the bill sometime this week

I don't know how that happens, that they just don't send a bill  I was really annoyed with them! Granted, I should have noticed I didn't get a bill, but it's just not something I thought about.... they split the payment over like 6 months or something so it didn't hurt as much

Just one piece of advice...stay ontop of LIPA! The same thing happened to us, we filled out the forms to have the electric switched to our names, and they never bothered to do it, then gave us a whopping bill for 500 dollars! In a ONE BEDROOM APARTMENT! And that was just for TWO MONTHS! It took me another three months to fight the charges because I knew they made a mistake, and FINALLY we got our bill back to normal.
ALWAYS READ YOUR LIPA BILL AND INSPECT ALL YOUR CHARGES!!!!
