We just bought this one, and so far we really like it.

Re: what kind of GAS oven/stove do you have?
I have a Jenn Aire Dual Fuel Range with double ovens.
I love to cook so I was REALLY particular about this appliance. I prefer gas cooking on the stove top - but I love electric for the oven. So I knew that I was going to go for the dual fuel. I also wanted 5 burners and a continuous porcelain over cast iron grating as my surface. When I need to take a roast out of the oven and make gravy on the stove top that extra surface space and burner make it possible. I had to have a simmer burner. I knew I preferred a double oven for cooking things at different times/temperatures. I also wanted self cleaning and I needed dual timers. I wanted a convection setting and a roast setting. I also loved that I have a warming option and a drying option on the larger of the ovens. And it had to be Stainless to match my other appliances. I would have loved to have gotten a LARGER range.. but space did not permit.
I LOVE my stove.
ETA: This is very similar Link

Re: what kind of GAS oven/stove do you have?
I am 99% sure this is the one I have (there are 2 very similar ones on the website -I have the one that has the broiler in the oven and not on the bottom): General Electric Range Model: JGBP28SEMSS
I am not a big cook and price was a factor. However, I did want an oven that had the broiler in the oven part and not as a separate drawer on the bottom. This is because then the oven has a drawer on the bottom for extra storage.
ETA: I am happy with my choice so far, however, I feel like the black part on the top always looks streaky after I clean it - though it may be the cleaner I am using.

I have the exact/similar same one. I'm very happy with this choice. We love that extra drawer on the bottom too!

Re: what kind of GAS oven/stove do you have?
I have a Wolf w/ the grill in the middle. Absolutely love it! Its commercial grade so it took a while to get used to it,it cooks sooo much faster. Since your DH is already on board to spend $$, then look at the high end ones such as Viking,Wolf,DAC, etc. Its a whole new cooking experience. Be aware though you will have to dish out extra for the fan/exhaust system. Due to the high heat..well, mine was due to code since we have the grill.
I am very much a "kitchen" person.. I spend most of my time there and believe in sparing no expense. Even when you go sell the house, you'll def get your money back.
