I use Beech-Nut apple juice mixed with bottled water.

I did not introduce it until 18mths. At that point it was and is 4 oz. juice and 4oz. water.

I just started Hayely on 1oz water to 1oz of pear juice. I am hoping it losens up her poops...she loves the pear juice

I didn't introduce juice until a year old. But my friend was just told to give her 7 month old watered down juice.
AGAIN REBECCA - DO NOT BUY THE GERBER JUICE. GO BUY WHITE GRAPE JUICE WITH THE LEAST SUGAR IN IT & WATER IT DOWN.
(we just argued about this on the way to catch our trains & she just looks at the board, but doesn't post)

I'm waiting until one year also.
I only gave him pear juice on the pediatrician's recommendation when he was constipated.

Marissa - check with your pediatrician since they all say something different. My friend is doing it so she'll get used to the sippy cup.

I use organic apple or pear juice but we use it for constipation and honestly she rarely takes it. I much prefer water. I don't want to get started on the juice habit. Water is so much better IMO.

Same here, only water or milk. She's 13 months. I figure she gets enough sugar from eating fruit.

Same here-although I have offered Jenna diluted apple/pear juice but she doesn't drink it-she actually prefers water so I stick with that. She eats lots of whole fruits anyway.

Same here... our pediatrician told us to avoid juice, even when she's older and if we have to give it to her, water it down because it's nutritionally valueless and has way too much sugar, even if there's no sugar added. I want to get Alex in the habit of drinking water instead...
