What kind of lighting do you have in your bedrooms?

We are purchasing a house without overhead lights (just lamps) and I think I want an overhead. Do you have a single overhead light fixture, ceiling fan, high hats, etc? Do you mind including a picture?

Also we are putting in central air so do you think I need ceiling fans?

We don't in this house but we did in the former house. We had a ceiling fan with light over the bed.

IMO there are nights when it's not yet hot enough to have the CAC on but it's still warm and if you have a lot of trees and bedroom is one the first floor you can definitely get away with just the ceiling fan. Sometimes it's nice just to recirculate the air. I'll be putting ceiling fans in the other bedrooms when the come.

There is one there now in our bedroom so I think we'll just replace it with one we want. Also we'll be getting lamps for our nightstands. I like the option of both above the head and/or next to the bed.

we have lamps on our nightstands and lamps on our dressers

We have 4 high hats in the ceiling on the corners. We also have a ceiling fan but it does not have a light. We have a light fixture for the part of the bedroom hallway that leads to the bathroom, the closets have lights as does the bathroom. I have a light on my side of the bed but DH does not.

We have lamps on the nightstands, and a standing lamp by the dresser. We also have a ceiling fan without a light.

Each bedroom is different
- 4 high hats and a fan with no lights
- Fan with lights (on a dimmer)
- no lights, just lamps
- one dome style light

WE didn't have any lights in the ceiling of our house too when we bought it, and the first thing DH did was install lights in each room. Our bedroom has recessed lighting that DH installed, and we also have 2 nightstands on each side of the bed that has a lamp on it.

We have some form of overhead lighting in each bedroom and then lamps

We are in the same situation. We bought a ceiling fan for our bedroom and haven't decided what to do in the other bedrooms, but we plan on putting in overhead lighting.

We have a ceiling fan with a light and two nightstand lamps.
One day we will be getting high hats. One day.

In the bedrooms we have ceiling fans with lights and lamps on the nightstands.

I personally feel that ceiling fans are still totally beneficial with CAC. We use our ceiling fans for a little while before turning on teh CAC when its hot but not really hot yet. Also in our den we have 11 foot ceilings so sometimes running the fan helps to circulate the air from the CAC.

I have recessed lighting in the master bedroom. No lamps although I'm going to put a dimmer switch on it.

We have a ceiling fan with a light and then lights on our end tables. I also have a chair and ottoman so there is a side table and a light on that too.
