What kind of socks does your toddler (3-ish) wear? Rubber grippy things on bottom or regular?

Thomas just turned 3. He's been wearing the Old Navy cuffed socks with the logo and size printed on the bottom of the sock in that rubber grippy stuff.

I just bought a package of Hanes toddler size ankle sport socks - just like big boy or adult socks, which I love, except that he is slipping and sliding all over the wood floors.

What would you do? Switch back to the grippy socks or stick it out with the regular ones until he gets used to them or learns to be more careful! (I'm just really afraid with him on the hard wood steps. He doesn't go up or down alone, but still...)

I don't allow my kids to wear socks in the house. I prefer they run around barefoot, especially in this nice warmer weather. Other than them slipping on the floors, I'm afraid of them having a sock come loose and them tripping over it.

grip socks for the most part-she slips a lot when running around in our house.

DD wears a regular sport sock if she is going to be wearing sneakers. She is barefoot a lot of times in the house though.

My kids are almost 3 and almost 4. I actually can't remember the last time they wore socks with the "grips" on the bottom.

We have all wood floors too.

They usually take their socks off when they get home because they prefer to be barefoot but I don't make them do it. I have never had a problem with them falling.

No grips. He claims they "stick to the bottom of his shoes"

So it's regular socks, but if he's going to be running around he knows he needs to go barefoot or put shoes back on.

He usually chooses barefoot, because his toes "stick to the ground better - like a tree frog's"

Lauren - you have me LMAO!! I can totally picture Logan saying those things and can also completely imagine Thomas saying those same things!

Cailen himself refuses to wear socks without shoes (he's a bit anal ) so he hasn't worn those grip socks since he started walking!!! They don't go into shoes well...
