what kind of stool softner can you use...

we tried miralax as per our ped, but she could taste it! she gets so constipated and even if i can get more fiber in her that doesnt help. any suggestions would be helpful.

I gave my DD a 1/2 ounce of water and 1/2 ounce of prune juice today and she had a major poop a couple of hours later.

Ever since potty training we have major poop issues with DD. Her ped told us to give her 3 of those penguin fiber gummies a day. With that...she still goes every 3 to 4 days. Frustrating! I have mixed prune juice with orange juice and she didn't realize and drank it a few times.

We give Miralax everyday and mix it in DD chocolate milk. Does your DD drink juice or chocolate milk? It does mask the taste of the miralax that way.

My Ped suggested Benefiber for my 3 year old.

We use miralaxx too - usually inchocolate milk in teh morning. My cousin told me that the key to "melting" it is to put the miralax in the cup, then put a little bit of hot hot water in there and mix it. It will disolve and then pour the cold liquid on top. It really works!
