I was wondering if you generally sent them in onsies and maybe like footie pajamas if the AC was up, or you actually put them in little oufits everyday? If I send him to daycare basically in pajamas until he's a little older, is that going to be the norm or will he look ridiculous? I mean, he's going to be messy and changing clothes during the day anyway, right?

Cailen will be going to daycare at 8 wks old (in 3 more wks Chat Icon )

I have a TON of clothes for him already! (Funny - I wanted a girl for the clothes - little did I know how many cute clothes there can be for boys too!!!)

I will not send him in pajamas, but in his regular outfits with extras to change him into if he needs layering or gets wet, etc... I have lots of those little carters body suits and comfy pants...

I was curious as to what daycare kids wear too. I have a ton of dresses for Emma and she will be going when she is around 4 months. I looked at a daycare last week and the kids were dressed in play type clothes, pants and shirts, some dresses, not pjs though.

An eight week old doesn't really get messy since they only drink bottles, so I don't think they will be changing the clothes a lot during the day.

Target has some great inexpensive baby pants in a variety of colors. They are like 3.99 IIRC.

I put my DD in the one-piece pajama-type outfits all the time. I alternate those between 'real' outfits with pants & stuff depending on the weather/my mood in the morning. I think I'll be playing it by ear with the air conditioning in what I send her in come summer - but probably a onesie and shorts combo or something like that, as well as those romper or sunsuit outfits as well..

Whatever you want/have is usually fine..

It's funny, but he's actually a very messy eater with his bottle--lord knows how bad it'll be with solids!

Why I was thinking about this is because he's so small, he doesn't fit into any of the clothes we got as gifts. He doesn't even fit in Carter's 0-3 months stuff. He has some onsies that fit from other brands and some footy type one pieces (which I referred to as pjs), but I didnt want to go and buy a wardrobe that'll last mayb e 2 months for daycare if those things were OK.

Thanks.

I would just send him in what you have then rather than buy new stuff.
My DD doesn't fit into any of her 0-3 mos stuff...it's all still too big, but I found that if I wash them and dry them on high heat, they shrink a little bit so she doesn't look like a silly girl in these huge clothes.
