What MOBILE are you getting?
I want an educational one--but I also want it to match the light colors of the room!!

I had the same problem. If my bedding set had a matching mobile, I probably would have gotten it, but it didn't. I found a few that I liked (soft colors) that coordinated with it, but then after reading reviews (on here, I think), lots of ladies recommended this one, it's called Symphony in Motion, I put it on my registry at BRU. They said that their babies actually would stare at it and pay attention to it, as opposed to the decorative ones. I still wish I could have found one that coordinated with the room better, but I'd rather stimulate her senses I guess. Image Attachment(s):

i registered for the symphony in motion one also. but mine is black, white and red. it plays bach, beethovan, mozart and has contrasting geometric shapes and designs.
the last time i was at bru, they had the pastel one in stock.

Thats the way I feel! I saw that they have Symphony in Motion in lighter colors than the blue, red--e.g the base is Green--I am going to return the one I have and get the softer one!

Oh really, lighter than the pic I posted? I'll have to look for it (although I know babies are drawn to the bright primary colors!). I have just heard great things about this mobile, so I figured it was best for  since I hadn't found one with me set!

The one that match the bedding. We have registered for the FP Ocean Wonder music box that attaches to the crib.
There is also a mobile that comes with the Kolkraft bassinet.

I have a symphony in motion. The colors are loud, but its so important to have your baby entertained.
15 minutes under that each day gives me a chance to put away his laundry.

My son aboslutely loved this mobile.

we have the symphony in motion one set up - it's bright and whoever designed it is fond of lime green, orange, majenta and blue - but I think it's funky.
And if it works half as well as other mommies have said it will - it's well worth it!

Honestly, I recommend the Lights & Motion one. It helps the baby to see the mobile at night. I often put DD down with this on at night and she would fall off to sleep all by herself!

p/s - the light is not as bright as it looks in some of these pics. It is about equivalent to a night light.

I had the one called "Dreams In Sight" by The First Years and we really loved it. It lit up at night and I know she owuld pay attn to it as she was falling esleep and that it helped her to sleep bc if we didn't put it on or turned the light off she wouldn't fall esleep so easily.
Also you can take the top part off and leave just the music box part attached to the crib when they get older (so they don't pull it down on themselves) and to this day if she wakes up in the middle of the night she just presses one of the big buttons and the music soothes her back to sleep. I think it's a great buy because she's 18 months and we're still getting use out of it daily!

Hayley never hada mobile. I registered for one and never got it, when I went to buy it BRU discontinued it and I couldn't find it anywhere. I never really found one I liked...plus it would have been really hard to attach to her crib.
