Re: What movies have you seen lately?
Ohh I'll add rentals--we live at Blockbuster.
The Aviator--Liked it, but it was LONG and I fell asleep in the middle for about 20 mins.
Alone in the Dark--Possibly worst movie EVER!
National Treasue--Good! But it didn't keep me awake the whole time.
Lemony Snickett's--Very good! Didn't fall asleep!
Blade Trinity--I really loved DH to waste a couple hours on this one.
Ocean's Twelve--Good, but not as good as the first.
Electra--Good action, not a fantastic plot.
Closer--Disturbing, but kind of in a good way.
Bridget Jones EDge of Reason--Loved it!
Alfie--Bad, bad!
The Incredibles--Loved it!
I Heart Huckabee's--Weird. Still shaking my head at the end.
Shark Tale--Loved it!
Mr. 3000--Loved it!
Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow--Worst movie EVER!
First Daughter--Thoughtless but cute. Old plot.

Re: What movies have you seen lately?
Madagascar- Very cute Darkness- Okay. It was kind of scary in the beginning and then it just got weird The Village- Pretty good. Got a little show near the end Lemony Snickets- Not bad. It was weird seeing Jim Carrey in a serious role. Birth- Weirdest movie I've ever seen in my life.

Mr. 3000 revolves around over-the-hill baseball star Stan Ross (Bernie Mac), who retired after making what he thought was his 3,000th base hit for the Milwaukee Brewers (i.e. the exact amount of hits it takes to qualify for the Hall of Fame). Though he shocked his teammates by quitting in the middle of the game, certain that his Hall of Fame position was in the bag, complications arise when he discovers that three of his hits during his ten-year career had been disqualified. Known as Mr. 3000, the 47-year-old, out-of-shape ball player returns to the game intending to stay only as long as it takes to get the hits he needs, but something unexpected happens along the way -- he rediscovers his love for the game, and begins to serve as a mentor to one of the younger players.

Re: What movies have you seen lately?
Beth I think I've seen nearly ALL of the Blockbuster movie you listed and that I have very SIMILAR opinions that you do (though I actually made it all the way through the Aviator and really SURPRISINGLY loved it!)
Oh and I could NOT even make it through I HEART HUCKABEES .. that movie was tied for "Sky Captain" as "worst" on my list!
The only one not on your list we saw recently was "in Good Company" with Dennis Quaid and Topher Grace .. i love this movie soo much!

Re: What movies have you seen lately?
At the Movies: Kingdom of Heaven, interesting but too long.
Madagascar- too cute! not as good as Shrek and Shark Tale, but I love these types of movies so I still liked it!
Monster In Law: too funny... had some moments I could totally relate too.
Revenge of the Sith: liked it, the other two movies in this trilogy I didn't care for, but this one wrapped things up nicely and totally prepare you for the orginal series.
On DVD:
White Noise, not that scary but creepy because it's based on a actual theory.
IN Good Company, cute, alittle slow but had some funny moments.
Aviator, loved it!
Are we there yet? dumb, mindless with a few funny moments
