My mom got this one for DS from toys r us: Betty Crocker Pots and Pans and Play Food Set it was $15.99

The kitchen set I got (step 2 delux) came with pots, pans, and silverware. I got the Target 115 piece set of food for like $9.99...I threw out a lot of the cardboard boxes of "food" but there are plenty of plastic foods!!
I don't think there is a need for so much...

I bought a bunch of it on ebay. The older Little Tikes stuff is great, durable and cute. I also bought a basket at Walmart for $4.99 with fruits and some meats. Target had their nice wooden sets 75% off with pans, etc. so I picked those up for xmas. She LOVES play food!
Learning Resources has the most realistic stuff, but it's kind of expensive. Amazon sells it.
