What products do you use for your Keratin Treated Hair?
Well - i washed my hair for the first time after having the treatment in my hair for 4 days and well its okay!! Im not overly impressed i guess. I still needed to blow dry and flat iron and the shine wasn't as apparent as it was when I first got it done. It did take me less time though - so i guess that was the whole purpose.
So....im wondering what products do you use to maintain the shine and healthier look on your own?? I purchased the "special" condioner/shampoo to maintain the keratin in my hair and I also purchased a product that provides "Shine" to put in hair before you blowdry, flat-iron.
Does anyone use a leave in conditioner or anything else??
Please share!! TIA

Re: What products do you use for your Keratin Treated Hair?
When I first got it done, I used Keratin Complex, Ulta sells it, and it's $20. I use regular conditioner for color treated hair because most conditioners don't have sulfates or sodium chloride in them so it really doesn't matter.
I just bought EverStrong from L'oreal, it's sulfate free and sodium chloride free, and so far so good! I got the Keratin 7 weeks ago. I have very curly hair, the Keratin makes it so that it only takes me 5 min to blow dry and it looks like I flat-ironed it (but with more body).

I use the Coppola Keratin complex shampoo and conditioner. It made such a difference! I can't believe you still have to flat iron! I spend about 5 minutes blowing my hair and it looks like I flat ironed it, except it's not as flat.

Re: What products do you use for your Keratin Treated Hair?
Thank you ladies - Im going to try some of your suggestions. I did blowdry my hair - but it had a bend/ flip to it and the shine wasn't as apparent as it was before I washed it. So - I then decided to flat-iron it - but im now afraid I will fry my hair. The whole point of getting this was to restore its shine and of course for it to be easier to maintain - my hair was orginally very dull and frizzy when dry.
I'm going to experiment a bit with it - and try to avoid flat-ironing it. Maybe I was expecting it to look as if i walked out of the salon again?!

I use this shampoo. I also have to flat iron too. I have thick curly hair, so my hairdresser told me that it will NOT make my hair perfectly straight. It does make drying qyuick. I also started using WEN products. It is just a conditioner. and it makes my hair shiny and soft. Chaz Dean. He has a whole line on QVC and LOVE it. He doesnt use or sell shampoo, it is just a conditioner that you use.
