What shoe size does a 2 year old wear?

I want to buy this great pair of shoes for DD but I rather have her wear them next summer when she will be a full on walker and actually wear them....What shoe size should I buy?..She's a size 5 now....TIA!!!

My DD will be 2 on 10/21 and she's a 7W right now.

They say that their feet grow a size every 3 months. It's been pretty true for us.

I think it's very hard to guess to be honest. My son is a 9.5 but I know other 2 year olds who are 7.5-8.

Lily is 2 years and 4 months and she is between a 6 and a 7.
She was a 6 at 2 years old.
I think it's hard to say what size show any child will be in the future....you kind of have to see how your own child's show size goes.

DD will be 2 next month and she wears a size 8.

My DD is 22 months and has two pair shoes - one is size 6, the other 6 1/2. She's been growing the average 1 size every three months since she started walking and actually wearing shoes.

It really depends on your child. DD wears a size for 4-5 months at a time. She is in size 6W now and is 2 years (2 1/4 yrs).

mine is almost 3 and has been 7.5 for the last 8 mos.

DD is 2 and she's measuring at an 8 right now. All her shoes are 8, but we could probably get away with 8.5 even though they look massive on her.

Landons only 16 months old and he wears a 7w. I don't think you can predict! He started off wearing a 4.5w in March and I tried to buy ahead for fall (bought 5.5w and 6w). Had to return those!

DS wears an 8 or an 8.5

He does have a pair of 7.5 that fit nicely, but they were hand me downs, so maybe they are a little stretched out?

DD must have tiny feet - she will be 2 in less than 3 weeks and still wears a 6.

I think it's almost impossible to predict what size shoes they will be in.

DD turned 2 in July and she is now wearing an 8.5W

My dd was a 6.5-7 this whole year.

DD is 21 months and in a size 6M with stride rite, full size to grow...her feet grow really slow so i am guessing these shoes will fit her until spring.
shoes from walmart and places like that seem to fit bigger so shes still in a 4-5 in some of them.

DD wore size 7 when she was 2.

It is hard to guess. My son is turning 2 soon and just moving from 5.5 to 6. He was very small for his age at one time but now he is very close to average height and weight, yet you can see from the other posts how his shoes are smaller than most.

DS is a 7XW...although some brands he can wear 7..go figure

Kaydyn is 20 months and she's just moved up to a 5 (she was in a 4 since she started walking at 12 months). Apparently her feet grow slow. We've been buying a 5.5 if I can on the suggestion of the salesman at Stride Rite so she has a little space to grow.
