what should I do???

My daughter will be 4 yrs old next month and I still use a stroller because I cant shop with her walking she gets tired so quickly and I love the basket to hold my purse and stuff
My problem is that her stroller is BEAT its dirty and the handle foam is coming off and I will be babysitting my 5 week old nephew every Thurs and Friday when my SIL goes back to work and I cant put him in that dirty stroller
I will need a stroller for when I have him so should I buy a new one ????I really cant afford to buy a new one right now....not really sure what to do

if anyone knows someone selling one cheap let me know
thanks

Can your SIL leave his with you? Does she have an extra umbrella stroller to let you use?

I would get a new one, I am sure BRU has a model that will serve its purpose and not break the bank.

If not, try scouting some yard sales or ebay.

yard sales are great this time of year. Also check out freecycle.com . People in your area will post things they are giving away and you can post a wanted for a used stroller.

I also think that it is entirely reasonable to expect your brother/SIL to help provide equipment that is needed to take care of their son. If that seems uncomfortable though, check out craigslist or ebay.

Are you going to need a double so that you can push your daughter at the same time?

Re: what should I do???

I would definately ask your SIL if she has one that she can leave with you while you watch her baby. I wouldn't expect my sitter to go out and buy new stuff for our child when we start leaving our baby with her.

Also, just a great thing I found the other day at Buy Buy Baby with my sister...

She was looking for a really nice maclauren stroller or peg perego or something that was light weight. She was convinced she needed to spend a lot of money on a maclauren to get a good light-weight stroller. But they really don't have many features and they start at around $100 so we ended up finding a great stroller called a STROLLIE (I think it was by combi maybe?) that was only around $30, is very lightweight and folds up so you can carry it by a strap on your shoulder. Also, it had great features that the more expensive stroller didn't have, like padded seats, a BIG basket underneath, and it reclined so it would even work with a younger baby who has to lay down at times.

Just thought I'd pass it on. Once my baby outgrows the big travel system, I think I'm going to go for this one.

The don't have a picture of the Strolee on the bbb site but I found it doing a google search, here it is:

Re: what should I do???

I just got the book from babies r us and I looked through it and threw it out but I remember they have a nice umbrella stroller that has a reclining seat for $40 also one step ahead has a nice one that isn't expensive either.

If your going to be watching your nephew and have your daughter aren't you gonna need something to use for both of them at the same time?

this one is $140 at babies R us
