WHAT SHOULD I DO?
I started TTC this month and I am wandering if it is a good idea to start taking my prenatal vitamins along with the folic acid. I was told by a friend that is important to take the prenatal vitamins right away. Can someone let me know if this is necessary? TIA!!

You should probably be taking a multivitamin and folic acid at the least.
Or get some prenatals and start on those.

It can not hurt you to take a prenatal while TTC. I was taking the Target store brand while I was TTC and when I was pregnant. They were very easy on my stomach.

My prenatal vitamin has the same amount of folic acid in it that I was taking before I went off birth control. I called the doctor to ask if I should be taking both and he said it was unnecessary. The prenatal has 1mg (or 1000mcg) of folic acid and thats enough. Id ask your doctor.

I take prenatals with folic in them. You can pick the up in cvs/duane reed/eckerts

I have been taking prenatal pills since March eventhough I didn't start TTC until June, my doctor told me the sooner I start the better. My nails haven't grown but my hair is much healthier.

I have been on prenatals since the beginning of June and my hair is SO thick!!!!! MY nails are growing but I can't judge properly b/c I had acrylic overlay on for 2 years and finally took that off a month ago.

call your gyno and ask for a rx instead, I started mine 6 months before I ttcing.
