What should I do... should bumpers come out?
Well, I am not sure what I should do about DS and his sleeping situation.
He is 14 weeks and sleeps in his crib. We have the crib bumpers in and have had them in there since he came home.
DS gets swaddled every night because if we don't he will whack himself in the head and won't sleep!
Well, as of last week, DS is now rolling over. ALthough he can't roll over while he is swaddled, he is now wiggling himself all over the crib at night. ... he ends up totallly not even close to where he started!
Anyway, he has been getting his face very close to the bumpers and I am wondering if I should take them out? But if I take them out, won't he bang his head against the crib?
Anyone else have this dilemma... if so, what did you do? TIA!

im probably no help - dd is 8 mths this week and i still have the bumpers in..i do it bc she is all over the place and rolls into the bars and sleeps up against them, so i rather have that cushion for her..and now that she is standing in the crib i feel better if she falls back she will fall into that and not inro the hard wood of the crib.

It's up to you and what you feel comf. with. We kept them in the whole time, he is 15 months now and never removed them. But you have to do what feels right.

On the other hand, I never had bumpers and never saw any need for them. If they are making you nervous, take them out.

I still have them in and Andrew is almost 19 months. We have the breathable bumpers.
