What should I do with this dress?

I'm taking this dress to be tailored today and i'm not sure if I should make it to the knee or keep it long (just take the train off).

It's the bridesmaid dress my girls wore for my wedding. My sister and I are the same size so I get to wear it to a wedding this weekend!

Here's a pic... what should I do?

Why don't you have it cut to a tea length type dress?

It's a pretty dress!

Unless the wedding I was going to had the same people at my wedding, I would keep it long.

If it was the same group, I'd make shorter (knee length).

I would trim it and make it shorter. It is such a pretty dress.

I love that dress! It was one of my choices!

Anyway, are you sure that the girls do not have that dress as their BM dress? You don't want to wear the same dress as the bridal party...
Assuming you know this already- I LOVE it long! BUT, I think it would really lovely shorter too-

Re: What should I do with this dress?

I would keep it as is...I had a dress with a train that I bought from ABS..I had my mothers friend (a seamstress) add a bustle to it...

I love the dress btw!

Re: What should I do with this dress?

I would make it tea length - its a beautiful dress, but IMO, if you keep it long, it looks like a BM dress.

Re: What should I do with this dress?

It's DH's cousin and only a few people will be at this wedding that were at our wedding. The bride doesn't have a bridal party.

Yea maybe tea length?

I absolutely LOVE that dress and begged my friends to let us wear it, no one did!!!!

Keep it just like it is, even with the train.

Re: What should I do with this dress?

Thanks! I'm going to have her pin it up tea length and see what it looks like.

Do you think I should add a sash? (My seamstress is my mom's best friend so she will do whatever and it won't be $$$$$).

I have a couple of other weddings coming up that I can wear it to also!

Re: What should I do with this dress?

Thanks girls!

So I went and we both agreed that it didn't look right tea length. It looks 100% better long! So i'm keeping it long and she's taking off the train.

What do you think about adding a sash?
