What size does a 16 month old wear? 1T?
I want to take advantage of some end of season sales.
DS will be 16 months next summer.
Should I be buying 1T summer clothes?

I'm not even sure there is a 1T. That would be news to me.
All kids are different. I always go a bit bigger. You never want tight fitting clothes in the summer anyway. Maybe go for some 24 month stuff.

At that age my DS mostly wore 12-18 months stuff. In some stuff 24 months - depending on the fit. He is tall for his age but, average weight. Honestly, I never buy ahead b/c whenever I do it never fits right for the season! It's hard to tell how these kids grow! Especially in the summer - when the shorts are too big the inseam is too low and it looks silly.

DS is on the bigger side. He wore 18months-2T at that age.

Perhaps you are right. I would hate to buy things that don't fit him properly next summer. Thanks.

I have seen 1T before (could just be a thing up here at this one store though)
anyway at 16 months DD was wearing 12 months mostly, some 18 months with room though.

It depends - at 17 months my son is in 2T and for some things 3T. He is a big boy.
