What sleep training method do you use?
Ferber? Jodi Mindell? Baby Whisperer? Marc Weissbluth?

Re: What sleep training method do you use?
I am not sure I used any of these exactly, but I would have to say Baby Whisperer was the closest.

Okay, is it bad that I've never heard of any of these methods? Should I be trying them out already? Would they make life easier?

Melbernai - If it ain't broke... these books/methods can drive you crazy. If what you are doing naturally is working for you, there is no reason to complicate matters!!! I went to the books when I couldn't get my baby to nap in her crib and we were both miserable!

I didn't really hear about them until Nate was almost 3 months old. I started readng "The Baby Whisperer" first and started to put him on a routine during the day. I followed her E-A-S-Y (Eat, Activity, Sleep, and You) technique. Then I read "Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child" by Marc Weissbluth and that really helped me set up a nap and night time routine for Nate. Once I started he started sleeping through the night without waking up. It also helped me identify cues he gives off when he's sleepy.
Some say you shouldn't instill a routine until a child is 3 months, but I think it's definitely worth reading before the child reaches that age. Like Calla said, if it ain't broke don't fix it. But for me it was helpful bc I was clueless and noting I did helped.

don't feel bad I don 't know what any of them are except for ferber and I tried that but couldn't do it and let her cry for more then 10 minutes so I gave up on that one.

Weissbluth - and Cameron is the textbook baby. She started sleeping through the night at 15 weeks after I followed his nap schedule and nighttime techniques.
