When I do kickboxing, most of us go barefoot. It's easier to balance than w/sneakers or socks.

i would wear cross-training sneakers for both kickboxing and zumba. they dont have as much support as running sneakers so you have to rely on your balance to help you.
as far as spin goes-i would get cycling shoes. you use muscles you never knew you had. they also help perfect your foot form! they feel weird at first, but you get used to them. HTH

For Zumba - either a dance sneaker, or a good supportive sneaker with a pivot point like Nike Huarache or Nike Musique . Huaraches have more support - I have both but people tend to like them better and I agree - but I see many who like them and wear them regularly. I personally prefer the Nike Airmax Skyline - I owe 3 pairs in different colors for Zumba, and I switch up with the Huaraches. They don't have a pivot point, but they move really well on the floor. They are good for kickboxing too, so I recommend them for that as well. If the classes are on carpet, let me know - I found a great resource for classes on carpet!
As for spin - a cycling shoe is great - anything by Specialized I highly recommend - go to a bike shop - you can get the clips (some gyms have clip bikes) or without clips....

I wear spin shoes they make a huge difference. I don't zumba or kickbox but If I did probably just a pair or cross trainers

Make sure you know what clips the bikes support before you put them on.

I know at the spin studio I go to they have sneaker "nets" that clip into the clips on the bike. You can wear regular sneakers and just slip your feet into them and adjust the tightness.

Since I only take 1-2 classes a week I find that they do the job. My toes go numb though.... why is that?

Are you up on your toes a lot when you do the moves? That's very common!
