What temperature is normal for a baby?
Is it the same as adults? 98.6? I've been taking Jared's temperature every day (since he has a little cold) and it's been between 98.8 and 99.3. I just wanted to know what the normal range was. TIA!!

Re: What temperature is normal for a baby?
Totally normal.
Just for future reference, What to Expect the First Year says that the normal temperatures are:
Temperature taken orally: 98.6 Temperature taken rectally: 99.6 Temperature taken underarm: 97.6.
A fever of 102.2 rectally is roughly equivilant to 101.2 orally and 100.2 taken by armpit.
My doctor told me the preferred method is rectally. I took our thermometer and asked him to show me how since that made me really nervous.
