Depends on the builder and also depends on you.

Do you have all your options picked out? Cabinets? counter tops? light fixtures? and hardware fixtures?

If you do have all these thing and don't change your mind with the design of the home.... it should take about 7 months to 10 months

We were told 9 months for our house to be built. It took exactly 1 year.

DH is in the field and said 1 year to be built...if you stick to the plan and all goes well there will be less delays

From the day you break ground probably 5-7 if everything goes smoothly. We are building a 3,800 square foot home, broke ground on October 3rd and if things move like our GC plans we should be in around March. Now that being said the moldings and doors may not be hung, but I am ok with that!
