What the heck?
So I got a what’s app video call that came through.
I didn’t know the number but thought maybe it was my husband because he’s the only one who calls me in that. So I answered.
It was some dad with his kids with an Indian accent or similar. They were also smiling and he told me he got my number from a US directory and asked what’s my business.
I smiled and hung up.
Ummm, what the heck?

Sounds like a scam.
At least he didn’t say “I am calling from Microsoft and your computer is infected.” Those calls are fun if I have time to kill. I usually start with “Oh no!” Then I’ll move on and they say “ok I can help you, turn on your computer please.” I ask “how do I do that? There are so many buttons.” They usually hang up after that. They finally stopped calling.
Was the number a US number? They probably spoofed it.

Part of my wanted to but I was already pressed for time and ready to tell my husband I would call him later. But alas…not my husband!
But where would this person get my phone number? And what would print someone to CALL me? Pen pal? Money? Bored? ??

Have you googled your phone number?
It is really odd with a WhatsApp video call, though.
