What the heck could this be?!??
The other day, I whacked my hand on the outside mirror of my truck. It made a rub-like cut on my hand which was sore. I put first-aid cream and a band-aid on it to speed up the healing, which I have done a dozen times before. Now, the area is swollen, red, itchy and looks like excema!
WHAT THE HECK!!?
It was just a cut, how could it have turned into an itchy swollen mess? Could it be a reaction to the first-aid cream? That has never happened before when I used that cream. I am so frustrated and itchy

Re: What the heck could this be?!??
You probably should not have put the bandaid and the cream on. The bandaid traps the moisture and sometimes too much moisture causes an excema like reaction.
For ex, if I wash my hands with a watch or rings on and the moisture gets trapped, I get this red, itchy annoying patch that has to be aired out for a few days.
So just keep the band aid off and maybe no cream even. Let it dry out. That's all it is. Once dry, maybe put some cortisone to speed the healing if need be.

Yeah, I keep putting globs of cream on it. I will try to keep it dry and clean and see if that does it.
Thank you!!
