What the heck is this? UPDATED

UPDATE: The dr. said it was an inflammation and prescribed prednisone and something else that is a spray. I don't know if i'm even going to fill the prescriptions since i'm breastfeeding and don't feel comfy taking that kind of medication (going to call ob/gyn). He said it could take weeks to run it's course. Thanks for those who replied!!


I have THE MOST ANNOYING tickle in my throat. It feels low and deep and it's on the right side and the simplest things like breathing/swallowing triggers this stabbing tickle that makes me cough. But coughing doesn't help it at all, either does water or hot tea or cough drops... nothing. I have no congestion, no cold or anything but did have a regular sore throat a few days ago. What the heck is this? An allergy? I'm going to the dr. later but any ideas?

maybe a post nasal drip ? That is kind of how I feel when I get that hope it goes away

Could be reflux.

Either way I hope you get to the bottom of it and feel better soon.

sounds like post nasal drip. try using a neti pot, and breathe in steam w/ 2 drops of eucalyptus oil.
that helps me!

I had the same thing earlier this year. It was post nasal drip. That being said, see what your doctor says. If it is PND, he/she will be able to tell in 1 second. Let us know what the doctor says.
