What time did you throw or plan to throw your baby's 1st birthday? Trying to decide between lunch and dinner.

DS doesn't normally do well if he is out of the house after 6-7pm. Then again, his bday is in march and he will be older then. Our guests are mostly adult couples so i think they'd prefer dinner.

What time did you have your baby's 1st birthday party?

we just had our DD last weekend and it was at 2pm but i did it at my home ...i cooked and had wine and beer and most stayed till around 6pm and then a few stayed later and we also had mainly adults ....

We'll be doing lunch - but we have a huge guest list and a LOT of kids .......

and

A 1 year old is never going to enjoy/remember his own party - so I'd say do what works for your guest list, however, you don't want him to be miserable .......- KWIM?

3:30 (right after nap). Every kid is different but DS was never any good being out after 6-7pm and at 2yo still turns into a crank monster if we're out to dinner past 7. I do as early of a dinner as you can if you go that route.

We are doing a christening/ 1st birthday party. It will be a a restuarant right after the service. I book the restaurant for 1-4pm.

we will and afternoon party probably begin either at 1pm or 2

eta that most of our guests are adults as well but regardless of what they prefer, it is ds's party and i have to do what is best for him!

We are doing a Sunday morning brunch..we have about 20 kids, and 40-45 adults, and i think children generally do better in the morning.

We did DD's at 3pm on a Saturday. By 6:30-7 everything was wrapped up and finished. Worked out good.

DD takes a nice long nap in the afternoon, most likely I will do a lunch party (like 11-1 or 2 or something like that). I think we are planning on doing it at home. She's in bed by 7:30

We are doing 4. Mostly because it works with their nap schedule and because I can then put them to bed at normal time and relax with our guests
